9:00 am - 10:15 am The Ugly Truth: Retro-Commissioning, Savings Degradation, and What You Can Do

This session will explore the most common causes of savings degradation to explain why savings from retro-commissioning projects degrade so quickly. The session will also present an alternative approach to retro-commissioning that focuses on building facility knowledge to ensure savings are sustained over time. Finally, the session will explain how tools like energy performance scorecards can be used to grow energy savings and optimize operation.

This session focuses on electrical safety requirements and arc flash. It will describe technical details of applicable codes, flash protection boundaries, labeling, and safe work practices. Participants will gain an increased understanding of the benefits of Arc Flash Hazard Analysis and electrical safety best practices.
